About Us

 MAC LURES was created by Wayne (MAC) McGowen from Mac's Tackle in Long Beach CA, 1952. The original line up consisted of the MAC, BIG MAC, Atomic Worm, The Special, and the BOB-O. The Jigs were made into the 1960's. Important note, in the spring of 53' MAC LURES started making a wide range of colors to choose from.
